Self catered. It had everything I needed and more. There was tea, coffee, milk in fridge, condiments. Plus lively chocolates. Far more than I expected. It was a lovely spot, quiet, even with a welcoming pub, right next door.

The cottage was in a lovely location. Not to far to travel to the local attractions. The host provided an information book about the local area such as the nearest shops and places to eat.

Old Chapel is a cosy 1 bedroom cottage located in the heart of the quiet beautiful village of Hayton, we have a fabulous community here, with a local pub serving locally sourced food, Friday to Sunday. Hayton is a perfect location to explore the Amazing Lake District and Hadrians Wall in Haltwhistle is close by. The North Pennines an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a mere 10miles away from Hayton. So much to explore locally, beautiful walks and countryside on your doorstep.
Hi I'm Clare...And I am very pleased to be able to offer to our guests Old Chapel in Hayton Cumbria and also Holly Tree Cottage in Boxford Suffolk. Both are cosy comfortable 1 bedroom properties just perfect for 2 and your pet or pets. They have been decorated to how I love to live myself so I hope you enjoy your stay, I just want you to feel at home. Host is available via, text, phone and email - please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Old Chapel is close to The Stone Inn Public House, Which is a very friendly local, with great home cooked food, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The village of Hayton is a warm, welcoming little place. Brampton and Warwick Bridge both have a local Co-op and Brampton has all amenities for food and shopping. We recommend a car for exploring the area in and around us here. Although Carlisle train station will take you to Edinburgh in less than an hour.
