Witheridge is a small village in Devon, England, with lots of ancient buildings, a bar, a convenience store, a newsagent, and even a mobile pizzeria that comes to town every Wednesday to sell its wood-fired pizzas and a fish and chip van that visits every Friday. Just a short drive away is Kings Nympton, a picturesque thatched village that was named Devon Village of the Year in 1999 by the Campaign for the Preservation of Rural England. The Grove Inn, located in this quintessentially English community, has earned numerous awards for its superb home-cooked food and wide selection of real beers and cider. Chulmleigh, to the west, has a few bars, restaurants, and takeout spots, as well as a few convenience stores and a fantastic butcher and bakery. To the west as well, the ancient town of Tiverton offers a number of unique shops, farm stands, and scenic strolls along the banks of the River Exe.
