My guests have described my 2 listings (located on the same property) as a little oasis of calm.
We are a walkable distance from the centre of Falmouth 15 minutes down the hill and equally accessible are three beaches just a 20-minute walk away. A connecting rail service is less than a 10-minute walk away.
The quiet cabin is self contained a high spec design project created to show how efficient and rustic design can be used to the best effect. Even tho we are at the bottom of plain town house cul de sac the cabin looks out onto a rural small train line embankment , very quiet and dark at night with owls
Hooting.
Peaceful scandie garden room is on the ground floor of an open-plan townhouse, with free quiet street parking. It has a private entrance hallway with a small hot-pressure shower room, a large cosy bedroom with tea and coffee and a view to a private courtyard garden., accessed from a French window. A continental breakfast of granola, sourdough toast, jam, marmalade teas, and coffee. To eat in your room or sit in the shared dining kitchen. the room is south facing bright and sunny. Both accommodations have double sofa beds with high-quality toppers, high cotton count bedding and soft pillows. Guests have commented on how comfy they are.
. The Quiet Cabin W/Green View is a self-contained clay plastered tiny home with free parking on the drive, a unique private attached bathroomwith a Japanese sit bath, it has considered concealed lighting, a fully contained kitchenette for cooking small meals with access by a walk-on wooden deck that looks out over the small branch train and the valley beyond it is a treat to bask in the low sunset late afternoon evening. The train trundles by twice an hour and stops at night. In between times its a wildlife corridor, with lots of bird song and owls hooting at night. We believe its the best of both worlds close enough to walk to enjoy the town and beaches but far enough away for secluded peace.
Hello, I am Jill an interior designer, who loves nature, wild swimming, walking, and making good food ,design and art, I enjoy creating beautiful vacation experiences and sharing information to help you make the most of this beautiful part of the world. Equally, I'm happy to respect your need for privacy.
Nothing brings me more pleasure than knowing you have felt comfortable and enjoyed your stay here. I look forward to welcoming you!
I designed the cabin as a challenge to make the most efficient, functional yet tiny aesthetically beautiful small space converted from a garage , I used natural materials to create a calm , well insulated cosy interior. Guests particularly love the unique Japanese sit up bath which you can enjoy relaxing in with Epsom salts while gazing out at the leafy tree . It has a double sofa bed but we have made sure it’s super comfy by adding a memory foam topper and high cotton count bedding and fluffy pillows. The living area is small with the added advantage everything is at your finger tips,
Enjoy watching the sunset while relaxing on your bed through the french doors and beyond the vine tangled deck with a glass of wine and a good book.
There are lots of good cooking and design books , and the odd Cornish novel to paw through.
We are located at the end of an unassuming suburban 70s cul de sac just 15 min walk from town however don't be discouraged we are secluded and look out over a natural landscape which is the local small branch line that trundles by twice hourly but finishes at 11 at night which means the nights are very quiet , dark and peaceful We think it’s a happy medium close enough to walk everywhere far enough for a quiet nights sleep. We are a 15, 20-minute walk into town and to three sandy beaches and lots of places for safe swimming, the town has a lively holiday vibe with small independent shops historical high streets ,bars and coffee shops, theatre, cinemas, galleries, Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum, Boat trips around the bay and up the river, lots of tropical gardens are within 20 min drive too TREBAH, GLENDURGAN, TRELLISKE. We are on the gorgeous Helford River and the coast path. AS well as spa hotels,, saunas on the beach and yoga studios. during the summer months, we have lots of festivals, oyster, beer and shanty singing to name a few. It is an arts and science Exeter university town so the community is enriched by a young vibrant scene, especially in the off-season months. We are also a 10-15 minute walk from Penmere station branch line to TRURO with access to its beautiful cathedral and the mainline train up to LONDON and further west to PENZANCE if you want to leave the car behind.
The coast path is also accessible , a short walk away.
We have free parking on the property .
