The cottage is located in the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds with pretty walks from the doorstep including the famous Wolds Way footpath, The Chalkland Way and The Minster Way. If you prefer a two-wheel adventure, bring your bikes along and admire the stunning scenery as you go.
There are plenty of great pubs and restaurants in the area, with the closest being The Wolds Inn, Huggate which serves a range of traditional meals and local ales, plus it's within walking distance. The Gaite at Millington, The Wellington Inn Lund and The Goodmanham Arms in Goodmanahm are also great choices and just a short drive away, while the Michelin-starred restaurant Pipe & Glass at South Dalton is a 20-minute drive. Booking is essential.
York is 30 minutes away and perfect for a day trip or a spot of retail therapy. Discover this stunning Roman and Viking city with its beautiful architecture and historic landmarks, grab a bite to eat at one of the many eateries or head to the National Railway Museum for a journey through time.
If you wish to venture towards the coast, Flamborough Head with its caves and rock pools, Filey, Bridlington and Fraisethorpe beach are all around 35-minutes away and are all dog-friendly too.
