“The lodge isn’t new and may need a bit of updating, but it’s very homely and has everything you might need for a holiday stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are comfortable, the showers work well, and the Wi-Fi is decent.Thank you!”

Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack.. Decked sitting-out area with garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Set close to the idyllic shores of Coniston Water, Ransome Lodge is the perfect springboard for visiting Cumbria and the Lake District. Situated within Crake Valley Holiday Park, it is set back from the lake with treetop views of the Coniston Mountains from the decked sitting-out area, making it perfect for those looking to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Parking is also available, with parking being on an incline and the gravel path to the front door is quite steep at first. Explore the many quirky little villages that the area has to offer, or venture out and explore Coniston, Ambleside and Windermere, which are within easy reach. Further afield on the west coast are many other towns and villages that are well worth exploring, as well as Wast Water and then over the Hardknott Pass back to Coniston.
