Riverview apartment is a converted victorian wing of our period house and has the most stunning river and green views. It is extremely peaceful and quiet, and benefits from an west facing terrace, providing the ideal spot for a glorious afternoon/evening sun downer. It is perfect for 2-4 people. Either a small family, or two couples sharing. One double room and one twin room. The apartment is decorated to a high standard and stocked with all you need for comfort and relaxation, including towels, hairdryers, loo paper, kitchen paper, bin bags, washing up liquid, washing powder, seasoning, olive oil, tea, coffee and sugar. As it is adjoining our house we are generally about should you need anything during your stay, but otherwise you can enjoy a private time during your stay. There is also parking for 2 cars on the grounds and a paddock area for dog walking. There are also river walks immediately out of the grounds and the village amenities are within a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Riverview apartment has been a tremendous success for us as a holiday let apartment, as it fits well within out grounds and offers our guests privacy, but also the support they may need from us during their stay. We take great pride in the apartment and receive tremendous feedback from our guests.

West Tanfield offers two fantastic pubs and a well stocked village shop within walking distance from the apartment. The Bull Inn, a family and dog friendly old inn, with a superb beer garden and great food. The Bruce Arms is a slightly higher end bistro style restaurant, serving incredible food and a vast range of Gins! Both pubs are extremely popular. The village shop and post office is a fantastic convenience open 7 days a week. We are also very close to the wonderful Swinton Country Club and Spa, Masham Golf Course, Lightwater Valley amusement park, York, Leeds and Newcastle cities of culture and shopping, and we have 3 local market towns within a 10 minute drive from the apartment. The Yorkshire Dales are within a 15 minute drive through Masham and offer breathtaking views and walks. For fishing enthusiasts you can buy a days fishing license from the village shop for the river which the apartment is situated next to, and there is an honesty arrangement for the West Tanfield fishing lake. The village also has a great playground for young children and tennis courts with a minimum day charge. So much to entertain you here.
