Property information

Rooftops is a deceivingly spacious apartment in the centre of Whitstable's and across the road to the beach. This 2nd floor apartment has a large double bedroom with a TV and comfortable chairs to relax with a good novel. The living room boasts floor to ceiling sash windows letting in lots of light and is perfect to sit and watch the world go by or enjoy a film on the Smart TV. You can get a glimpse of the sea from here too! There is also a dining table and chairs. The kitchen is small but has all you need to cook Whitstable's local delicacies from the Farmers Market and fresh seafood from the Harbour. There is a dishwasher to avoid having to do the washing up and a Nespresso coffee pod machine to wake up slowly with a coffee! The bathroom has a walk in shower, WC and a basin. The last room off the landing is the twin bedroom with comfortable beds and a wardrobe. There is an Alexa hub in the living room, and in the bedrooms you will find an Alexa mini speaker. For families, you can pack light as there is a travel cot, high chair and stair gate. There is a small portable plug in washing machine. Please Note: The apartment is up 2 flights of stairs but it's worth the view to watch the world go by!

Neighbourhood information

The town is on the doorstep, with it's locally produced restaurants and cafe's and unique shops. The pebble beach is also a stone's throw away with it's walkway that you can stroll all the way to Tankerton past the working historic Harbour and Castle. Whitstable's sunsets are stunning especially on a warm evening with a glass of wine in your hand! Public transport, whether you take the bus or train, are approximately every 15 minutes taking you to Canterbury City to view the breath-taking Cathedral or London for a days sight-seeing. There is free street parking on the road to the rear of the property. The nearest paid parking is Victoria Street or Keams Yard car park. Whitstable Train Station, on Railway Avenue, is the cheapest car park if you don’t mind a 10 minute walk. You can view the charges on the Canterbury City Council website. Parking can be limited in the high season but once you have parked up, you are close enough to walk into town, beach, shops etc. You can also visit the 'Just Park' website to find out where to park in Whitstable. There are frequent busses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along Harbour Street, High Street, Oxford Street etc. The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre. There are also Taxi services available for short fares or airport runs. The nearest airport is in London and the Ferry port is in Dover.
