This beautiful south facing 3 bed brick built chalet is self catering with open plan kitchen, wc and shower.
A fully furnished chalet with 5 beds, sleeps 7, is situated at the top end of Park Avenue Holiday Village with stunning views over changing seasons of farmland. It has a bright airy feel from the expansive skyline flooding in; a cosy lounge with sofa and built in wooden beds in each room. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine.
Please note, no essentials are supplied i.e no bed linen, towels, soap, shampoo and toilet rolls. There are available quilts and pillows. Bed linen and towels can be supplied at an extra cost; fifteen pounds per person per stay. Please indicate this after booking.
This chalet is ideally suited for those looking for tranquility and peace. For those who come with children, please be mindful of neighbours who are relaxing in their own space. If they are out there, it may be best to play up by the Clubhouse where there is a Children’s Play area or you could take part in children’s activities that are organised by the Park; do ask for more information at the Clubhouse.
Access is permitted on the Holiday Village and guests have use of the grass area in front of the chalet but is not restricted for use by other site users. Although, please do be considerate if anyone is using their front area and it may be best to walk around the back of their chalet; ideally children should not run around disturbing other’s peace and try to keep dogs within the chalet boundary. You may wish to pen in your dog/s to the left of the chalet as you look South or you may wish to erect the parasol supplied for all to keep cool from the sun.
There is a clubhouse (subject to season) with Internet access, toilet facilities, cafe and Children’s play area. Parking is permitted next to the chalet but on very wet days please park elsewhere.
Please text or email as I may or may not be on the island during your stay.
The view across farming fields look towards Swale and beyond to Oare and Faversham and to the left, the lights of Seasalter and Whitstable. You can hang out on the grass front, relax and get away from it all as it takes just over an hours drive from London. Or you may prefer to swim or relax by the sea. Bird watching is popular due to the salt marshes. Very unspoilt and very photographic.
Leysdown beach is just a 10 mins walk for arcades, cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops and public children’s play area. Further afield are Warden Bay, Shellness and a coastal road to the conservation area. With only a short drive to Minster, Sheerness, Bluetown and Queenborough. There are plenty of lovely country/coastal walks on the island and within the surrounding areas with ancient churches and historic sites. It takes only half an hour to drive to Sittingbourne, Oare and Faversham.
The Isle of Sheppey is best accessed by car and for getting around the surrounding areas. If you arrive by public transport you can get around using the local buses, please make sure you pick up a timetable at the stations prior to making your way from Sheerness/Queenborough to Leysdown. Please note that there are no buses to and from Leysdown on Sundays and bank holidays except 20/7 for 8 weeks.
Smoking, vaping and naked flames is not permitted and dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and do not allow your dog to wander into the neighbours area; keep within the chalet boundary.
Fines will be issued for dogs found off lead or fouling the park, reversing out of one-way road, damage to park grounds and unauthorised dumping of items. Any fines issued by the Park must be paid for by the guests at the duration of their stay.
No parking on the grass on very wet days. Unload from the path or use the un/loading area nearby and and then park elsewhere or up by the clubhouse.
The bins for disposal of rubbish are found at the Park Office and clubhouse and remember to turn off all switches when leaving.
