Beadnell Bay, a stunning section of the Heritage Coast in Northumberland, is located just outside this picturesque and tranquil harbour village. Beadnell, founded in Saxon times, was historically a prominent fishing village and safe haven for smugglers. Still a fishing village at heart, it attracts many tourists for its picturesque harbour and, of course, its beautiful beaches. There is a general store, two bars, and a restaurant/café in the small town. The popular town of Seahouses is only a mile away, and it has everything you could need, including a supermarket, restaurants, and boat trips to the beautiful Farne Islands, a paradise for bird watchers. Bamburgh is not far away, and a short drive will take you to the market town of Alnwick, where you can visit the Castle and Gardens, browse the shops, and dine at one of the many local restaurants.
