Experience and enjoy living in this spacious, newly renovated 1 bedroom apartment right in the heart of this ancient market town. Charlbury is set in the beautiful Evenlode valley and is surrounded by the stunning Cotswold countryside.
There's much to explore in town including some terrific pubs and eateries, as well as being ideally located for Blenheim, Burford, Kingham and many other Cotswold village gems. Charlbury has its own mainline station with easy access to and from Oxford and London.
The apartment is light and airy with plenty of room to move about. There is a comfortable open plan living and dining space with a well equipped kitchen. A large bathroom with a spacious shower.
The bedroom is well proportioned and accommodates a luxury super king-sized bed, which can be separated to two singles on request, if preferred.
Guests will have the whole apartment to themselves, and off-road parking is possible (please contact the host).
Entry to the property is via smart lock, with instructions provided prior to check-in.
The apartment is situated in Market Street, in the Anglo-Saxon heart of old Charlbury. There are four great pubs, two café-delis, a Coop convenience store, a pharmacy and a museum very close by, and the railway station (Oxford 20mins, London Paddington 70mins) and Evenlode river are just a 5 minute walk.
Please note: a bistro is situated on the ground floor, which is owned by your hosts. This is due to open in September 23 and will be able to serve you delicious meals and drinks Wed to Sunday, and Fri and Saturday evenings. Please be aware that background noise during opening hours is possible.
Also note that in order to book you will need to provide Id verification and a small security deposit will be held for a short time.
On the front of the building there's a blue plaque in honour of Larcum Kendall, a famous watch and clockmaker who lived on the site and learned his trade in

Charlbury is a small but lively and vibrant market town full of historic 17th and 18th century buildings, has great pubs, independent shops, and a local history museum. Charlbury sits in a beautiful valley, on the meandering River Evenlode surrounded by glorious Cotswold countryside with fabulous walking and cycling in all directions. To the southwest is the remainder of the ancient Wychwood Forest, part of which now makes up the Cornbury Park Estate, the setting for the annual Wilderness Festival.
