I've lived in Prestwich for nearly 20 years and having gone to Manchester University and worked as a lawyer in the city centre for many years I know both Prestwich and Manchester well. There's no better place to stay! The property is situated in a quiet neighbourhood just 5 minutes walk from Prestwich Clough which is a 24 acre ancient woodland. The property is also just a 10 minute walk from St Mary’s Park where you will find a children’s playground, tennis courts and basketball courts as well as space to play football. Across the road is the beautiful St Mary’s Flower Park. Heaton Park, Europe’s largest municipal park, is just a 5 minute drive away. For those Coronation Street fans, several weddings and funerals have been filmed at the local church, St Mary’s. There are many supermarkets just a five minute drive from the property including Aldi, Marks and Spencer, Iceland, Tesco and Lidl. Village Greens is an excellent and friendly organic supermarket in the heart of Prestwich Village which I can highly recommend. There are many great cafés, restaurants and bars in Prestwich including TGI Fridays, Croma, Panama Hatty’s and Costa as well as many superb independent ones including Osma, All the shapes and Cuckoo to name but a few. There are also many take aways in Prestwich that offer a delivery service and several just round the corner from the property. There is brilliant yoga studio, Creative Calm, just a 10 minute walk from the property. There are also many fantastic cafés, bars and restaurants in Whitefield which is just a 10 minute drive from the property including the award winning Patissier & Chocolatiers, Slattery and the lovely Italian Cafe and Deli, Roma. Excellent transport links. The property is just an 18 minute walk from Prestwich tram stop. It is just a 20 minute tram journey/drive into Manchester city centre. Alternatively, there is a bus stop two minutes walk away. M60 just a 5 min drive away
