Stabl-Bennar is conveniently located for exploring North Wales. Just 500 metres away is a sandy beach, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or walking.
The setting of Stabl-Bennar is ideal for those who love spending time outdoors and on the beach. A ten minute walk along the lane from the two bedroom holiday beach retreat near Barmouth leads to a boardwalk that crosses the magnificent dunes that shelter a stunning sandy beach. Benar Beach is a wonderful spot to while away a balmy summer day, whether it's sunbathing, walking or taking a dip in the crisp clear water. With views across to the hills of the Llŷn Peninsula, it sure is an idyllic spot.
Located centrally between Harlech and Barmouth, there's plenty of opportunity to get out and explore. Head north to Harlech and wander among the walls of the thirteenth century Harlech Castle, learning about the history of this medieval masterpiece. The castle provides fabulous views to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) herself can be seen on a clear day. Be sure to stop in at some of the cute boutique gift shops and cafes the town has to offer. South of Ysgubor-Bennar, the seaside resort of Barmouth has a stunning beach with a beautiful mountain backdrop and the historic Barmouth Bridge, something of a landmark in the region. From the Barmouth area, take a walk along the Mawddach Trail, a walking and cycle path on a disused railway line which follows the Mawddach Estuary inland towards Dolgellau.
Fancy a hike, with less crowds that the main hub of Eryri? Head into the Rhinogydd mountains nearby, where a number of walking routes meander through these hills with something to suit all skill and fitness levels. For keen mountain bikers, Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park is located nearby. A purpose built mountain biking centre, there are trails to suit all levels and it's also a great spot for walkers, with great trails suitable for families and four legged friends.
