Avoch lies along one of the main tourist routes in the Highlands, providing a wealth of nearby attractions and activities. In the village, guests can embark on seasonal dolphin tours, where they may catch a glimpse of the famous bottlenose dolphins that frequent the Moray Firth, especially around Chanonry Point Lighthouse and the harbour. The Black Isle Holiday Apartments were once a hotel (The Station Hotel) , originally built back in the late 1800s. Back then there used to be a nearby railway line that was meant to run between Dingwall and Cromarty, but only ever made it as far as Fortrose, never making it to Cromarty. The old railway line is still a popular walk to this day between Avoch and Fortrose. Newley renovated into modern and comfortable, self catering holiday apartments, each apartment is named after Scottish wildlife which can be found near by. Mixing the old with the new: from the outside, you will still see the original Victorian sandstone and inside: tastefully decorated interior.
Situated in the quiet, picturesque fishing village of Avoch, the Black Isle Holiday Apartments are centrally located in the heart of the beautiful Black Isle, and are only 15 minutes from Inverness by car. The many activities in the area include: dolphin tours, mountain biking, golf, water sports, boat trips, quad biking, walking and climbing, to name just a few. There is a bus stop right outside the apartments which can take you to the neighbouring villages or into the City of Inverness.
