Located in the harbour bowl area and enjoying panoramic views of the town, harbour and bay from the lounge, balcony, kitchen and main bedroom, the property provides a perfect location with the best of Brixham on your doorstep. The property is situated on a pedestrianised hill less than 100 metres from the harbour and High street providing access to restaurants, cafes and shops all within a 2 minute walk. 10% discount for 7 nights Changeover SATURDAY. See "Other thing to note" for 5/6 day options. A 7 day parking permit is included for the multi storey car park about 10 minutes pleasant walk from th apartment, on the flat and alongside the marina and harbour.
I am recently retired and live in the Midlands. During a short break in 2017 we came to Brixham and fell in love with the town. We were fortunate enough to be able to find our place by the sea in 2018 and have spent the last few years making it our second home. I love walking and Brixham is perfect for a quick stroll along the waterfront or a long walk on the cliff tops taking in the fantastic sealife. We were thrilled to spot dolphins off Berry Head earlier in the year and the seals in the harbour are always a welcome sight. I will be available to help in any way via mobile phone or email throughout the guests stay and I have several contacts in Brixham who will be on hand to help on site if necessary.
Brixham is a vibrant fishing town with a spectacular harbour setting and is the jewel of Torbay on the "English Riviera". We really think it should come with a health warning - once you've been you'll never want to leave. Whilst the harbour area bustles with fishing and tourist activities, the coastal path quickly enables you to get away and explore quieter areas either past the marina towards the National Trust headland at Berry Head or the quiet coves and beaches towards Broadsands. Early summer sees the start of several events and festivals. Further afield, exploring Torquay, Paignton, Dartmouth and Kingswear is easy by car, bus, ferry or steam rail (from nearby Churston). There are plenty of good restaurants, cafes, bistros and seafood outlets in addition to friendly pubs, cocktail and wine bars, from the lively to the sophisticated, so whatever your preference, Brixham ofers a great choice for visitors. As one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK along with its famous Fish Market, Brixham never "closes" making it a great destination any time of the year.
