East Devon is one of the most beautiful parts of the country, here you will find not just an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with it's ripping rivers, rolling hills, heathland and ancient woodland. but also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Jurassic Coast.
Just 4 miles from Sutton Barton Farmhouse, you will find the lively market town of Honiton, famous for lace, pottery, and the antiques capital of the South West. Art lovers should take a trip to the Thelma Hulbert Gallery, featuring local art and frequent events and workshops.
Take in the pretty scenery and take a walk along the East Devon Way, or find a secluded spot on Sidmouth Beach, to soak up the sun. You will also find the Seaside town of Seaton, a fishing harbour and civil parish in East Devon on the south coast of England, between Axmouth and Beer. Facing onto Lyme Bay, Seaton is perfectly accessible to explore the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. A sea wall provides access to the mostly shingle beach stretching for about a mile, and a small harbour, located mainly in the Axmouth area.
Exmouth, is also a very popular part of the South East Devon coastline, and has two miles of golden sands with rock pools, perfect for children to explore. Exmouth is also very popular with water sports enthusiast, where you can hire windsurfers, kite surfers and kayaks.
For wine lovers, be sure to visit the Lyme Bay Winery, with award winning still and sparkling wine, fruit wine, rum and much more from Devon's beautiful Axe Valley.
