As you sweep down through the idyllic hamlet of Llanmill, through a beautiful wooded valley and over the babbling stream, the imposing, period Tan Y Castell can be discovered, perched on the edge of the valley and overlooking the lake with its resident swans. A footpath runs next to the house, giving access to the surrounding countryside. The origin of the gorgeous Tan Y Castell Welsh cakes is to be found right in the kitchen of this house itself. Tan Y Castell has been delightfully restored
