Grasmere is a pretty village resting at the heart of the Lake District National Park, situated just five miles away from Ambleside and nine miles away from Windermere. Famous for being the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found", the village plays host to the Grasmere Gingerbread shop, as well as a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century and Grasmere Lake.
