What began as a passion project with a single log cabin has grown into a collection of luxury properties in the heart of County Durham, including The Barn, The Oak, The Log Cabin, The Residence, and The Estate as a whole.
We are a family-run business, driven by our love of nature, thoughtful design, and the belief that time away should feel truly special. Each property combines rustic charm with modern comfort, from large spaces for two to expansive homes for groups of up to sixteen. Private wood-fired hot tubs, stylish interiors, and panoramic countryside views make every stay unique.

Welcome to The Barn & The Log Cabin, two unique countryside retreats that together create the perfect escape for families, friends, or multi-generational groups. Nestled in the peaceful County Durham countryside, this combination offers a rare mix of rustic charm, stylish interiors, and modern comforts, with space for everyone to relax and enjoy.
The Barn is a beautifully converted country home with three ensuite bedrooms, making it ideal for groups who value both comfort and privacy. The fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining area provide everything you need to cook and share meals, while the huge living spaces are perfect for unwinding after a day exploring. Large windows frame stunning views, filling the property with light and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Next door, The Log Cabin adds a unique character of its own. With a warm rustic feel and open-plan design, it features two mezzanine sleeping lofts plus a large sofa bed, creating three sleeping zones in total. The cabin also includes its own kitchen and lounge, offering flexibility and independence alongside shared gathering spaces. Families and groups love its playful, memorable layout.
Outside, both properties come with their own private wood-fired hot tubs, as well as outdoor seating and BBQ facilities. Whether it’s stargazing at night, dining al fresco, or simply soaking in the peace of the countryside, the outdoor areas are designed for relaxation and fun.
⚠️ Please Note: In the Log Cabin, the mezzanine lofts are accessed via ladders and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility, very young children, or those who prefer ground-level sleeping. If unsure, please ask us before booking.

The Estate is set in the heart of the County Durham countryside, surrounded by rolling fields, wooded valleys, and open skies. It’s a peaceful and restorative location where guests can wake up to birdsong, enjoy fresh country air, and end the day stargazing beneath clear night skies. While the setting feels secluded, you’re never far from history, culture, and convenience.
Just six miles away is Durham City, one of England’s most beautiful historic destinations. Famous for its UNESCO World Heritage Cathedral and Castle, Durham also offers cobbled streets lined with boutique shops, cafés, and traditional pubs. Spend a day wandering along the River Wear, exploring museums and galleries, or enjoying the city’s lively dining scene. For families, Durham is both charming and walkable, making it a great choice for day trips.
Equally close is Bishop Auckland, a thriving market town that’s quickly becoming known as a cultural hub.
