The barn is a converted wagon hovel, built in the 1860’s as part of Linwood Hall farm, sitting between the heath and the fen. A richly historical site with the Roman built ‘Car Dyke’ running through, important during Anglo-Saxon times, it is the site of a Cistercian Grange – twinned with the nearby Kirkstead Abbey. It is also close to the former RAF Metheringham, an important WW2 bomber base. The farmyard is part of a working farm, with visitors able to enjoy extensive walks in the local area.

Linwood Hall Farm is located at the end of Linwood Road, with no through road. There is a single track road from / upto Martin village, with separate tracks for walking up to the former RAF Metheringham airfield, also alongside the Car Dyke - a canal built by the Romans. Parking is available adjacent & opposite to the accommodation. Guests are welcome to enjoy the green space around the farmyard and designated farm tracks for walks.
