Gwil & Sian purchased The Bear in February 2014 and have fully renovated the premises to a high standard and guarantee a warm and welcoming stay.

Property information

The Bear in Rhayader in Mid Wales provides 4 Star Bed & Breakfast with a contemporary feel. Guests arriving at The Bear are assured of a warm welcome by the proprietors Gwil & Sian. We provide luxury Bed and Breakfast with 6 en-suite bedrooms which include on-site secure parking. The Bear has free wifi internet access throughout the building. Our heating and hot water is provided via a Greenflame Biomass Boiler which is fed with wood pellets which is very green and helps protect the environment. The Bear supplies a Room Rate only and breakfast is to be added to this price and can be booked directly.

Rhayader is the first town on the River Wye and is home to the spectacular dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys. It is the perfect place for the whole family, couples or group of friends to take full advantage of our stunning outdoor attractions and activities such as walking, cycling and fishing. We are 2 minutes walk from the centre of the town where you will find shops, restaurants & cafes.
