Be at one with nature in this beautiful and peaceful boathouse on the shores of the Moray Firth. Surrounded by beaches and ancient woodlands, the boathouse at Croft Downie offers the perfect rural retreat with long romatic walks along the beach or through the forest. Immerse yourself in nature, surrounded by otters and heron, with the occasional glimpse of red squirrels, deer and even the Moray Firth dolphins. Idylic isolation just 15 minutes from Inverness town centre. This completely unique studio property with beaches either side sits on the South shore of the beautiful Black Isle between Kilmuir and the Kessock Bridge, with 270 degree views over the Moray Firth . The 30m2 studio apartment has a super-king-size bed at one end, a working/eating area in the middle and a fully fitted kitchen and living area at the other end. The property benefits from an en-suite shower-room and a wood burning stove. Downstairs, guests have access to wild-swimming in the shallows of the Moray Firth and a private spa room with double-ended bath and outside shower. There is plenty of outside seating along with a gas barbeque and plenty of space for camp fires.
Graham grew up in Inverness, but has since lived all over the world, before returning to his home town in 2019. He has had a holiday home in Inverness since 2006, which he has let to holidaymakers since 2008. The Boathouse at Croft Downie is a new and completley unique property built on the footprint of an ancient stone boathouse.
North Kessock is a beautiful quiet coastal village with a renowned hotel and restaurant, coffee shop, village shop and post office. There are miles of walks and cycle paths easily accessed directly from the Boathouse. The city of Inverness is just 15 minutes away across the famous Kessock Bridge, with all the amenities you would expect of a small city. The Blask Isle and Scottish Highlands are on your doorstep, and The Boathouse provides a perfect starting and/or end point for your trip around the NC500.
