The Castle is situated in a quiet area, at the top of Bishops Castle, with spectacular views of the town. It offers 3 bars with log fires, a restaurant serving local produce, and beamed bedrooms. The Castle Hotel’s restaurant serves a modern food menu and a full English breakfast is available every morning. The outdoor seating area, where guests can eat and drink in warmer months, has views of the Shropshire Hills. The bedrooms are individually decorated and have a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Modern touches include a flat-screen TV and a DVD player and guests can enjoy tea/coffee making facilities. The towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are a 30-minute drive from the 18th-century property, while Hawkstone Park Golf Club Course is 40 minutes away by car. There is free parking on site.

We moved to The Castle Hotel in 2010 and have since fallen in love with the small quirky town of Bishops Castle & the surrounding Shropshire Hills. We live onsite & when we can get away we enjoy taking our little dog on long walks in the countryside.

The Castle Hotel is located at the top of the small hill that Bishops Castle is perched on. The hotel stands on the ancient site of the castle that once stood here. Panoramic views from our hill top gardens are the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The UK's oldest licensed Brewery, The Three Tuns is located 50 yards away from The Castle Hotel, plus the Six Bells Brewery at The Bottom of town both serve up some of the finest Real Ales in the land. Bishops Castle itself is located in the heart of The South Shropshire Hills a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So why not spend the day walking in some of the finest countryside in the land, then back to The Castle Hotel for a pint of local real ale......
