Property information

The Crook sits in a prominent position on Sheep Street right in the centre of Stow on the Wold. An array of shops, restaurants and delis are all within walking distance. Book Direct with Cotswold Cottage Gems and save 10%. The front door leads into a welcoming entrance hall with original flagstone floors and plenty of space to hang coats and store muddy walking boots. To the right is a cosy sitting room with working log burner (we supply some logs to get you going) large corner sofa and flat screen tv. At the end of the hall is a downstairs loo and wash room. To the rear of the cottage is an airy open plan kitchen/dining room, a perfect space for cooking and entertaining. The kitchen is wonderfully contemporary and fully stocked with plenty of crockery and cookware. Upstairs the master bedroom has a built in wardrobe, a beautiful en suite bathroom with walk in shower and a king size bed and views over the street. Bedroom two boasts a lavish super king bed and overlooks the patio at the rear. There is also a modern family bathroom on the first floor with bath and shower combination. On the third floor there is a further king size room showcasing the original timber roof beams. From here there is access to a small forth bedroom with twin beds only suitable for small children. We prove a highchair and standard sized travel cot for babies. Please note we do not provide any baby linen so bring your preferred bedding with you. The cottage benefits from private, secluded courtyard at the back with seating area and outdoor fire, a real bonus for alfresco dining. There is NO parking at the property however there is free on street parking directly in front of the cottage. 24 hours Before arrival we will send you a map indicating all the free parking areas.

Neighbourhood information

Stow on the Wold is the highest of the Cotswold towns and boasts some beautiful views over the rolling countryside. At the height of the Cotswold wool industry the town was famous for it’s huge fairs, the market square would see 20,000 sheep sold at one time! The main square and high street are now bursting with boutique shops, independent cafes and restaurants. There are some fantastic walking routes right on the doorstep and the cottage is in a prime location to explore the Cotswold Way.
