If you like to watch the sunset, enjoy wonderful views over National Trust land and want a well-equipped yet simple chalet as a base for your adventures by the sea, then this is it. Incredibly peaceful, wonderful west facing views and long-lasting sunsets. Dog-friendly and lovely walks. Bude has it all, safe boogey-boarding/surfing, skim-boarding, amazing beach walks & fascinating rock formations at Sandymouth Bay. Indoor pool and bowling 10 mins away in Bude. Please bring own beach towels. The space 2 bedrooms, one master kingsize bed with cupboard and wardrobe. Other room has bunk beds and trundle single bed with pull out bed and wardrobe. Outdoor seating area and umbrella. Fully equipped kitchen. No high chair, but has a bath for kids. Guest access Easy to unpack the car as it’s the chalet closest to the car park, which is not far to walk. Pathways to chalet. Other things to note Please bring own beach towels. Indoor towels and bedding provided.
My husband and I live in the countryside with our son and 2 crazy cocker spaniels. We love the sea and bought this chalet as we love Bude. It is so lovely and unspoilt with amazing beaches and rugged coastlines. We enjoy sharing our chalet with others and hope you enjoy it.
Lots to do in and around our chalet... 1. Summerleaze beach - Surfing lessons are great as the waves are gentle enough to learn to surf. Boogey boarding is great too! 2. Bude Seapool is amazing if you want to do lengths and you can even paddle board in it. 3. Skimboarding - at low tide it’s an amazing place to skimboard! A lovely flat beach! There’s always parking at Summerleaze carpark, even on the worst days you can get a spot if you wait for bit, but on most days there is space for all. 4. You can hire boats on the canal at Bude (great fun). Lots of cafes along the river to have a coffee. 5. Sandymouth Bay is awesome at low tide - a big wide beach and lovely cafe on the way down. National Trust car park. 6. Monster Slip and Slide. Great fun and you need to book. It’s near Widemouth Bay. 7. Duckpool beach is to the right of Sandymouth and is a smaller beach but v rugged and private. It has a small carpark and I find it’s best to get there early or go when you think people won’t be there. It is one of my fave places as it feels so remote. 8. Tamar Lakes is great if you have kids who want to nice long bike ride. It has a nice cafe with arts n crafts gift shop and it is good for going along the lake for a walk with the family. 9. Widemouth Bay - lovely views as you drive around the corner. Beach House hotel/ restaurant or the cafe at Widemouth beach itself are a nice outing.
