A stylish barn conversion, set in a beautiful and peaceful rural location in Hacheston, yet just under half an hours drive from the coast and with some of the best Suffolk restaurants and pubs nearby. Set within its grounds is also a tennis court, croquet lawn and table tennis, making this the perfect rural retreat for a long weekend or longer stay for families or a group of friends, at any time of the year.

Neighbourhood information

The Granary is situated in a rural location on the outskirts of Hacheston and there is a huge amount to see and do in the local area. In addition to the facilities at the barn the roads around are suitable for cycling with a number of SUSTRANS cycling routes close to the property along with walking paths. Further afield there are numerous opportunities for walking and bird and wildlife watching both inland and on the coast which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Granary is lucky to have some of the best food and drinks pubs in the county within close proximity. The highly rated Greyhound Inn is under a ten min drive away in Petistree, as is Easton White Horse, Ufford Crown and The Duck at Campsea Ashe. A little further afield but still within easy reach you will find award winning The Unruly Pig and The Suffolk Sur-Mer in Aldeburgh, making this property the ultimate place to stay for food lovers. Hacheston is home to Garnetts Gardens, accessible on foot for the more adventurous, where you can stock up on essentials or simply have a coffee and cake. Wickham Market is just a five minute drive and Framlingham a ten minute drive in the opposite direction. Both towns have a number of independent food shops selling local produce such as Revetts, Hall Farm Butchers and Leo’s Deli. There is a busy market on Tuesdays and Saturdays in Framlingham or try the Marlesford Farm Café & Shop for a variety of local treats and seasonal produce. There are a number of significant historical attractions in the local area. Framlingham Castle dominates the town with spectacular views over the countryside from the ramparts. A little further afield Orford Castle and Sutton Hoo are worth a visit. For those with a younger family, Easton Farm Park provides an opportunity to meet a large number of farm animals including The Suffolk Punch and smaller animals that you are able to hold.
