Company information

We are proud to look after Newby Hall and continue to restore and improve the walled garden after its years of neglect. WE keep it as it was still standby 17th century . We decided to put our guest bedroom on bookingdotcom in hopes of sharing the joy of our about 500 -year-old home. we are believe to make the guests whom staying with us feeling home from home is important. The house is not quite suitable for people who looking for modern accommodation or holiday apartment.

Property information

Newby Hall is an old English manor house set in 2 acres of gardens. It is a grade II ** listed building and a member of the Historic Houses association. This is a no smoking guest house. It has double bedrooms, suitable for two people. Our upstairs guest bedroom: has a 4-poster bed and exclusive use of a heated bathroom . Part of the house have 400 year old wooden floor which have no carpet but William Morris Rugs and local sheep skin rug. The Great Hall does not have a ground floor bedroom and does not have a walk -in shower room. Access to the upper floor is by a short staircase. We offer Bedroom only or Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast is 15 pounds a person to be paid at the Great Hall. We have bicycles for rent free of charge so you may discover the surrounding countryside Check in is from 2PM to 21PM. Neighbourhood information

Newby Hall is a short drive away from Penrith and Shap. It provides a good home base if you desire to venture out 30 mins to an hour to some of the Lake District's most beloved peaks: Ullswater, Blencathra, Hellvellyn, and smaller hikes are local to those who wish to take in what nature has to offer.
