Situated in Merthyr Tydfil, in a historic building, 29 km from Cardiff University, 6 Holiday Cottages, close to Bike Park Wales, Pen y Fan, Brecon are recently renovated lodge and apartments with a garden and barbecue facilities. With lake views, the accommodation features a private patio. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The accomodation provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower and slippers. A toaster, a fridge and stovetop oven and microwave are also available, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the apartment complex, every unit comes with bed linen and towels. Guests at our complex will be able to enjoy activities in and around Merthyr Tydfil, like cycling, zip wire, fishing and hiking. The complex has a picnic area with bbq facilities where you can spend a day out in the open. Cardiff Castle is 30 km from our farm, close to Bike Park Wales, Pen y Fan, Brecon, while Principality Stadium is 30 km from the property. Cardiff Airport is 45 km away. The Lodge at Pontygwaith Farm (C1570) is a unique vacation destination nestled amidst the stunning Welsh countryside. The property offers a breath-taking view of majestic mountains and the serene river that flows through our land. We have also converted an old stable block in to five apartments each accommodating two guests. The Lodge and stables are located in close proximity to Bike Park Wales, Pen Y Fan & Zip World. The farm is teeming with character and offers a tranquil setting, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The Lodge is tastefully furnished and equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The Lodge together with the stables can accommodate groups of up to 14 guests but we'll consider more guests upon request.

We (John & Thora) have travelled extensively and have high expectations of where we stay. We have gained a strong sense of what is good and what is bad holiday accommodation which we apply to our place. We've gone the extra mile regarding our accommodation and strive to offer a good honest and reasonably priced package. There are three other neighbours around 500mtrs from our farm. We're positioned right on the Taff Trail and the Trevithick Line where the first ever train made its maiden voyage. We have a large river and 1.5 acre lake for guests to enjoy a leisurely picnic or stroll.
