This is our self contained luxury apartment, right in the centre of Buxton two minutes walk from the Buxton Opera House, Pavilion Gardens, Buxton spring and the newly developed Crescent Spa complex at the bottom of our road. The apartment is on the ground floor of a large Victorian town house with private access and with outside seating in a private yard. There is free parking for one car in front of the yard gates with a public car park (fees apply), taxi rank and bus stops nearby. The apartment is a cool, stylish space ideal for couples, solo adventurers or business travellers. We have designed the apartment with luxury furniture, fixtures and fittings for 2 guests (sorry - no children). We have kept the space minimal and private. The apartment is conveniently situated for taking in the cultural events in Buxton during the year. (please note the bedroom is small with a queen sized double bed) The Luxury apartment can be rented alongside our other rental property 'Crescent View' maisonette in the same building - which can accommodate a further 2-4 adults in 2 bedrooms.
We are both musicians and keen walkers. We love walking, cycling, swimming, music, eating out and visiting the theatre (and drinking pure spring water) so Buxton was the perfect place to move to 25 years ago. We think Buxton is a great centre for all these activities and our apartment is brilliantly situated right in the centre of town to access them. It is a great town with so much culture and interesting architecture, green spaces and history. We even have our own sightseeing tram to take visitors around the town - which stops at the bottom of the road. The surrounding Peak District is on your doorstep here with so much to see and do. We love living in a town which has so many festivals and events throughout the year.
Buxton is a beautiful place to visit and we are so central in the town - just off the marketplace on one of the oldest streets in Buxton (Hall Bank) which overlooks The Slopes, The Old Hall Hotel and the Georgian Crescent (which is now a fabulous spa complex opened in 2021). We are ideally placed for the cafes, bars, shops and restaurants on the market place. The fresh 'Buxton water' well is at the bottom of our road as are the Pavilion Gardens and the Opera House. We are within very easy walking distance from the cafes, bars and pubs in upper Buxton and a short walk down through the slopes is the main Spring Gardens shopping area with an easy walk to the famous Buxton Dome and the Palace Hotel (afternoon tea recommended). The area around Buxton is great for walking, and we provide maps and local information for guests to borrow. We are keen walkers and cyclists and can advise guests about routes in the town and further afield.
