Company information
A farming family business since 1876. We have been designing, building and running the self-catering business for fifteen years. The houses are bespoke and built to a high design standard with every room having an eclectic theme of it's own. We have been collecting furniture and fittings around the world for the last century. There are currently four houses all within walking distance of each other. Our team is dedicated to making sure if you are a VIP and just want quiet seclusion or a family party you have the best experience. We can organise hot tubs, horse riding, visits to see the sheep at lambing, point to the walks to the pub or into the wilds of the brooks, or even fishing. Hiking, running and retreats are quite common activities. The beach is not far away as are three National Trust properties.
We have used recycled materials where possible in the building of the houses, the large timbers mostly are old railway bridge timber, tiles from salvage yards, timber when we can has been cut on the farm or purchased from local sawmills.
Our mantra as farmers has been, no pestcides, no insecticides, no artificial fertiliser and no herbicides. Some of the farm is wild but has not needed to be re-wilded as the hippy idyll has always been ours. The farm and landscape is wetland so we have a plethora of butterflies and dragonflies and an enormous diversity of flora and fauna of which we are very proud.
Many people working in music, film and TV have been to stay. Four music videos have been made in and around the houses and one mini movie.
