Located in the rural Cornish village of Mabe Burnthouse near to Falmouth, this village is one of the original settlements in the parish of Mabe. Laying just off the main Helston to Falmouth road on a hill overlooking Penryn you are in the perfect position for local walks and easy access to surrounding visitor attractions such as Glendurgan Gardens owned by the National Trust and Trebah Gardens with it's collections of exotic plants and trees that you may expect to find better suited in the rainforests of the Amazon than Cornwall. Falmouth town and harbour are also a short drive away where you can find Pendennis Castle built for Henry VIII and of course the Argal reservoir which can be seen from the window for gentle nature filled walk with a coffee! The New Inn, Mabe's local public house, serves tasty meals and local ales and has recently been refurbished. There is a village shop too and Asda superstore and petrol station can be found just outside of the village on the outskirts of Penryn. Sainsbury's can also be located just outside of Falmouth.
