Welcome to The Barn
The original barn had stood for more than 200 years on this site. It fell into disrepair and when we were not able to convert the original building we decided to rebuild it in 2018, using as much of the original stone as possible.
Keeping the original footprint ,the barn was reborn as you see it today - looking very much like the original - give or take some mod cons and double glazing!
It is situated at the end of our large garden , accessed through a rose covered archway.
The building is surrounded by pretty shrubs and a pleasant patio area - which is for use by the guests.
The barn is completely self contained, and there is parking on the gravelled drive.
Our property is within the sound of the local church bells, which are rung on a Thursday evening and every Sunday morning. So beware if you are hoping for a Sunday lie in when staying with us!
Facilities include a small kitchen area, ( no oven / hob) but equipped with microwave, toaster and kettle, fridge and small freezer. The property is within walking distance of several restaurants/ pubs and takeaways.
Simon and I are very pleased to welcome you to The Barn. It is a pleasure to be able to host guests and to get to know them a little.
We love meeting people and are really happy to share our knowledge of the surrounding area with you. We enjoy spending our free time - walking , gardening and socialising with friends.
We are both working, have 2 grown up daughters, one grown up son in law and 3 grandchildren.
You will also be welcomed by our chocolate labrador.
Market Deeping is a thriving market town, with a handful of restaurants, bars and several pubs which serve food within walking distance. If you would like to drive a little further for dinner, we're happy to recommend several of the local country pubs or hotels and restaurants in Stamford. We are also within easy reach of The A1 , Stamford and Peterborough.
There is much countryside to explore, with Ferry Meadows and Rutland water just a 30 minute drive away.
The train stations in Stamford and Peterborough are a 10-15 drive away.
