周辺エリアの情報
Owl Cottage is part of Cranmer Country Cottages, a cluster of converted barns located in a tiny hamlet close to South Creake on the main coast road to Burnham Market. The rural location is adjacent to a Roman Road, and is surrounded by privately owned arable farmland teeming with birds and wildlife. The property is within easy reach of the golden sands and shady pinewoods of Holkham Bay, often described as one of the best beaches in Britain, and probably the finest stretch of beach on the Norfolk coast. Close by you'll find bustling Wells-next-the-Sea, with its individual shops and traditional fish and chips. Burnham Market with its smart boutiques, antique shops and restaurants is just 10 minutes away. For foodies there is the fabulous local farm shop in the medieval town of Little Walsingham.
Our local town is Fakenham and is within 4 miles driving distance. Here you’ll find a cinema, an excellent fish & chip shop, Drifters and the usual banks, chemists, butchers and supermarkets; Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl & Aldi. Fakenham comes alive on Thursdays when locals congregate for the weekly auction and open-air market featuring fresh fruit stalls and a great selection of bric- a-brac. The local shell petrol station is within 3 miles and has a mini-Waitrose essentials & food shop.
For keen cyclists and walkers our location is close to the Norfolk Coast Path and has easy access to the Norfolk Coast Cycleway and national Cycle Network Route 1 which passes just south of Fakenham.
