Iain
Ideally located in the heart of Somerset, close to the stunning foothills of The Mendips, with all the peace and quiet a rural village can offer. Just 2 miles from the vibrant and historic medieval town of Glastonbury and a 20-30 minute walk to the infamous Glastonbury Festival site at Pilton. Tucked away this self-contained cottage is the perfect escape to unwind. With almost 5 acres with fields to roam with or without a furry friend and direct access to beautiful local and off-road walks, tourist attractions and areas of natural beauty.
Iain is a well-travelled man, with a long career in Property. He has completely renovated the cottages combining modern bespoke architecture, fixtures, fittings and furnishings with traditional 200 year old stone built farm buildings. Iain lives on site.
West Pennard is a wonderfully tranquil spot even when Glastonbury Festival is in full swing! A spectacular rural setting in beautiful countryside, popular for off-road walks or miles of cycle routes throughout the Mendips and Somerset Levels. An ideal location for all to enjoy, whether your visit is a romantic break away, fun with family or friends, or a relaxing solitary chill. The Lion, Gastro pub is in the village and just five-minute walk from The Old Cider House Estate, or in the neighbouring village of North Wootton you have the award-winning Crossways Inn boasting a delicious A La Carte menu. Just 2 miles from historical Glastonbury, home to the stunning Glastonbury Abbey & Gardens, Chalice Well Meditation Gardens, and the Tor for breath-taking panoramic views and its unique White Spring, a unique and vibrant High Street of alternative, quirky shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Also, a short drive away you will find The City of Wells, home to the impressive Cathedral, Bishops Palace, Moat & Gardens, the desirable towns of Bruton, Cheddar, Street, and slightly further afield the cities of Bath and Bristol. Historical Stone Henge is just an hour’s drive.
