The Red Barn consists of a kitchen/diner with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, tumble dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, dining table, a sitting room with woodburning stove and TV with DVD player, a utility, and an indoor swimming pool. The bedrooms consist of two king-sizes with en-suite bath and a twin with en-suite bath, serviced by a cloakroom. There is also an external gym and external games room. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a barbecue, a shared tennis court, and a shared outdoor heated pool, plus off-road parking for four cars. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Off-road parking for 4 cars. Three well-behaved dogs welcome, charge for 2nd and 3rd. Sorry no smoking. Shop 2.6 miles, pub 2.9 miles, river 0.6 miles. Enjoy the true tranquillity of the countryside with a stay at The Red Barn.

Nestling among mature woodland on the western slopes of Dartmoor, the historic village of Lydford is a jewel in this area of outstanding scenic beauty. To the north, just half a mile away, the high tors come right down to the village edge, while to the south the River Lyd winds its way through Lydford Forest on its tumbling course northwards. Lydford village has an interesting medieval castle and nearby Lydford Gorge (National Trust) with its peaceful woodland walks and White Lady waterfall is a must. The village also has a Post Office, pub and award-winning restaurant. Whether walking the moors, fishing, watching the amazing wildlife or just visiting the many attractions of this stunningly beautiful area, you'll never be lost for something to do. The moorland market towns of Tavistock and Okehampton are both a short drive away.
