The stables are a light airy open plan barn conversion finished in 2018. A sumptuous king size bed. Your own private entrance with your own kitchen with a starter pack all ready for your stay including continental breakfast for one morning There is Wi-fi within the barn. We are 20 minutes to Mersea island, 5 minutes to Colchester zoo and 10 minutes from the magnificent Layer Marney Tower.

My husband and I have lived here for 10 years. We live next door to the stables but completely respect your privacy we are always available to answer any questions or help if needed. We have a daughter and also 3 dogs who are normally quiet but for some reason the postman really winds them up! We live in the house very close to the barn, we are normally around but if not you can always call or email us with any questions.

We are close to the oldest recorded town of Colchester with the amazing castle. We have West Mersea 20 minutes away with the beaches and dog walks also delicious fish and chips at the oyster bar in west mersea. 5 minutes from Colchester zoo and 20 minutes from Dedham where you can explore the beautiful Constable country with either a row along the river Stour or a delicious lunch in The Sun Inn. You definitely need your own car or do bring a bike as well
