Wonderful hidden gem in an AONB, but with Haslemere Mainline station only 3 miles away. Loads and loads of walks, Blackdown, the South Downs etc. and gorgeous pubs. West Wittering only 40 minutes away.
The Wackery by name and nature. A unique artform! Extremely quirky, shabby chique, yet cosy and comfortable with a huge Indian Stone terrace, surrounded by lavender, shrubs, and olive trees; beautiful teak dining table which seats 8, garden and BBQ area where the sun goes down. The garden is laid to lawn.
The whole barn is open plan, with a sitting area with flatscreen Smart TV, Sky. Wifi, with a full fitted kitchen, ceramic sink, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. The dining scaffold trestle table seats six and can be moved. It is filled with books, and you can relax and chill here. The lighting is warm and subtle, with hanging industrial bulbs.
The bed is a gorgeous brass bed behind a screen of beads and lights, which can be drawn back so you can watch TV in bed.
The wetroom is a sumptuous silver corrugate, with a midnight blue floor, copper shower and tap fittings, with galvanised steel basins, a loo obviously, and wardrobe.
I love the fact that our guests love this wonderful space! But we tend to leave you to it, and leave a key out for you, and then come say hello. If you need anything all you need to do is ask. Cotton white linen and towels are provided. You will need to read the directions carefully as tricky to find as everything is called Prestwick something round here.
Wow... there is sooo much around this beautiful area.
Walks at Blackdown with far reaching views of three counties. Country pubs, The Swan, The Mulberry in Chiddingfold, or Duke of Cumberland in Fernhurst. Dog and Pheasant at Brook, of White Horse at Hascombe, are all fabulous. West Wittering is a 40 minute drive across the South Downs to THE most wonderful beach. Do NOT expect conformist 'normal'!
