Alba House is an elegant Victorian villa dating back to around 1870. Situated in the Craigmillar Park conservation area in the south of Edinburgh, it is a great base for exploring the city and the surrounding area and is well served by local transport - only a ten minute bus journey from the historic Royal Mile. Edinburgh University (Kings Buildings), The Royal Observatory, The Medical School and Edinburgh Royal Infirmary are all close by. There are several great pubs and local restaurants within walking distance and a local shopping centre is a few minutes away. Being a Victorian villa, no two bedrooms are the same, however, all bedrooms have lots of character, most with high ceilings and intricate cornice work. Our two classic rooms on the second floor are smaller in size, have cosy coombed ceilings and are probably not suited to guests with limited mobility or oversized luggage! They are priced to reflect their size. It is on the A701 and just a few minutes drive to the city bypass which connects to all routes -airport,Forth Road Bridge and the main route North.
