Used to backpack solo, explored different cultural terrain and unchartered territories around the world! Now happily settled as a full time dad. When I am not chasing my kids around, I potter between my kitchen and garden. Like a border collie, I can never sit still for long. Love culinary experiments. Inspired by the philosophy of Stoicism and Buddhism. Aim to be self-sufficient, nature-loving and to leave the world a bit better than I found it.

Nestled in the heart of Matlock is an exquisite top floor (2nd floor, sorry no lift) apartment with panoramic views of the traditional high street, Dale Road, and the distant Derbyshire rolling hills. In its former life, the building was the Olde Englishe Hotel (established late 19th century). The apartment has been thoroughly modernised while the external architecture still retains its eclectic Elizabethan charm. The bay window provides ample of natural light to diffuse the open living area. The apartment has been decorated with touches of distant Matlock photos, homely feel and artefacts purchased from local antique shops. The kitchen is well equipped for one to rustle up a meal. Enjoy your meal while overlooking the hills and bustling street 2 floors below. With these and more to look forward to-come and have a memorable retreat here!
