The house is a stone throw away from the High Street which offers award winning butchers, ‘The Oldest Sweet Shop in the World’, a Bakers, Cafes, Pubs, Art & Craft shops. The property is in a perfect location for visiting Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough, Skipton and Leeds and our favourite Dales village, Kettlewell beyond Grassington. The house is ideal for couples or a family wanting to explore many wonderful walks, visiting friends, family, cycling and much more. We only allow dogs in the property and no other animals. Please can you discourage your dogs from going on the furniture for obvious reasons. If you can, please don't wear outdoor shoes in the house. There is a back entrance which is more suitable to use if you are coming in from a hike or bike ride and the basement is a useful area to dry wet clothing and boots. The property is in a perfect location for visiting Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough, Skipton and Leeds and our favourite Dales village, Kettlewell beyond Grassington. (For walkers, a yomp up Great Whernside there on a good clear day will allow you to see Pendle Hill and the Cumbrian Mountains.)

The house is ideal for couples or a family wanting to explore many wonderful walks especially the Nidderdale Way which is signposted opposite the house or Scar Reservoir and Gouthwaite Reservoir. It's also well known for some great cycle routes as Yorkshire folk love Road Cycling and local drivers are very respectful towards them. For Mountain Bikers there is a technical section at Stainburn Forest. For climbers, Brimham Rocks (National Trust) are near by where kids scramble and climbers practice but there are more challenging routes as you approach Kettlewell. If you’re skilled enough to go underground there are many caves for Pot Holers to explore.

Nidderdale Museum This museum in Pateley Bridge in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales has eleven rooms covering all aspects of Nidderdale life in the past. Stumps Cross Cavern An ancient natural cave formation deep underneath the Yorkshire Dales then a lead mine. There is also a lovely café (great food and ice-cream!), cinema, shop, hilltop walks and visitor centre. Food stores The Dales Market Corner (Mini supermarket) Bridgehouse Gate, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate HG3 5HG Head towards the high street, turn right over the bridge, past the park and you will see the petrol station and Dales market store right in from of you.
