The Garden Room has its own separate entrance from the main house and access is made using a key box. The room has been refurbished for rental out to guests this year (2020) to provide all the amenities you will require. The feel of the room is country luxe, with warm tone yellows and cool tone blues, making it feel a relaxing and safe place to stay. The trickling pond can be heard on summer evening with the windows open which is very therapeutic (but rest assured it won't keep you awake at night!). The garden is also open to guests to sit in and enjoy, it it kept immaculate and full of beautiful plants and flowers year round.
The Garden Room has a cosy living area, with generous double sized bed, comfy sofa, built-in wardrobe, flat screen TV, beautiful artwork and sumptuous finishing touches. Underneath the TV unit you can find an integrated mini-fridge to store food during your stay. Off the living area are the kitchenette, with ample cupboard space and all necessary utensils provided, as well as a microwave and a mini oven with two hobs for cooking and sink with a draining board. Next to here is the ensuite with toilet, sink and shower cubicle!
Someone will always be around in the main house should difficulties arise and welcome you coming to say hi! We will however, maintain your privacy and make sure you have a thoroughly relaxing stay, so our interaction level is up to you! We have lived in this area for 25 years now and so can recommend all the local attractions and walks.
Walks straight out the front door and around the farmland and fields on the outskirts of Waddesdon Manor. The walks are truly stunning and the landscape changes daily, there is always something new to see! We are located in a very quiet and safe street and so your stay should be tranquil and relaxing.
You will need a car to get around, as there are no amenities in the village nor any frequent public transport services. The nearest shop is in Waddesdon, which is 3 miles (7 minute drive away). We are also close to the towns of Aylesbury (8.5 miles, 19 minute drive), Bicester (10.3 miles, 19 minute drive) and Thame (9.9 miles, 19 minute drive). These places all have many shops, supermarkets and pubs/restaurants. There are two pubs in the village of Waddesdon, as well as the gastropub 'The Akeman' and an Italian Restaurant 'Canaletto' which can be found in Kingswood (on the way to Bicester). All these places are no more than a 5 minute drive away.
