Vineyard Barns is a former dairy farm located on the outskirts of the pretty village of Bishopston which is approximately 7 miles from the City of Swansea on the beautiful Gower Peninsular, with over 30 beaches to explore. The Barns are within easy walking distance of 3 Gower beaches. The barns stand within spacious grounds with plenty of parking on site. The barns have been recently converted from original farm buildings specifically to provide high class accommodation for holidays and weekend breaks for couples, groups of friends and multi-generational family groups e.g. those attending a wedding at one of the popular venues on Gower or celebrating a special occasion such as an anniversary or birthday. The buildings are self-contained and may be let together or separately. Each is equipped to a high standard with a fully fitted kitchen, a comfortable open plan living area with sofa bed, and there is outside seating and a BBQ available at each unit. The site is very quiet and private surrounded by grounds and a large field from which the coastal foot path may be accessed easily via the beautiful Bishopston Valley.
We are a local couple who have lived on Gower for many years. We really appreciate living in such a special place and look forward to sharing our wonderful location with our guests.
Bishopston village is a 5 minute walk from Vineyard Barns and there are two Post Offices and a Coop Local store, a farm shop, a Surf shop and a hairdressers all within walking distance. Also within walking distance are 2 pubs, one of which, the Plough and Harrow, is an award-winning gastro pub, serving food and local ales. The other local pub, the Joiners Arms, has a microbrewery where the famous Bishopswood ale is brewed. The Gower Hotel, a popular wedding venue with bar and restaurant facilities (which also serves cream teas) is also located within walking distance close to the medieval church of St Teilos and the restored medieval ford. There is a service station with fuel available 24/7 on the outskirts of the village. The beautiful Gower Peninsula and pretty seaside village of Mumbles are close by.
