Property information

Walney Island Lighthouse is an incredible property, located at the southern tip of Cumbria in the heart of the South Walney Nature Reserve. Surrounded by wildlife and with incredible, panoramic sea views it's the perfect location for a memorable getaway. The cottage is split in to the main three-bedroom house on one side of the tower and 'The Hide' - a one bedroom annexe on the other. The Hide has its own separate kitchen and living space, making Walney Island Lighthouse the perfect choice for multi-generational families where the parents or grandparents can get their own space. Inside, the cottages do not disappoint - they are furnished to a high standard with a contemporary feel with many thoughtful touches which guests will love.

Neighbourhood information

Please note this is a nature reserve and there are restrictions on where you can wander and there is no access to the beach at this south tip of Walney Island.The reserve is a Nature Reserve run by the Cumbria Wildlife Trust and it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and there are strict rules to follow regarding where you can wander on the island. No dogs are allowed at the property or anywhere on the reserve, even on a lead. No fireworks and no drones are permitted. The nature reserve is closely monitored by a warden and car registration details are required to access the lane to the property prior to your arrival. Lighthouse Cottage is accessed via a long bumpy track through the island.
