Welcome to Wensleydale Glamping Pods, located in Wenselydale at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
Known as glamourous camping, ‘glamping’ is described as ‘a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping’.
We offer luxury ensuite accommodation to walkers, cyclists, couples and families visiting Wensleydale and the wider local area. Our pods are equipped with plenty of modern comforts perfect for romatic, relaxing breaks, weekends away with the kids, and a gentle stroll in the countryside or simply relaxing in the hot tub and taking in the superb views of Wensleydale!
Our three luxury en-suite pods are of a high quality timber construction, built locally and constructed using an environmentally friendly design - foil membrane/sheeps wool insulation in roof cavity insulates the Pod for year round use, warm in winter (with underfloor heating) and reflects heat during summer.
The pods are named after three of the Yorkshire Dales: our home Wensleydale, Bishopdale which is viewable from our site to the side of Penhill and Swaledale which is one of the northern most dales.
Woodend Farm is a traditional family run livestock farm and has been farmed by the family for generations. Despite farming 500 sheep and 30 cattle, Colin and his wife Janet decided to diversify in order to provide a sustainable farming business for the family; and safeguard the farm for his two sons (Mark & Thomas) and future generations.
With the farm boasting stunning views set elevated in the valley of Wensleydale, the opportunity to diversify into the tourism industry presented itself. We have combined our passion for farming and the love for the countryside, creating something very unique to Wensleydale!
The farm has been in the family for generations, we’d like to share a part of this with you and we hope you will join us on a Wensleydale Glamping adventure!
