The market town of Pickering is just 3 miles away. Here you’ll find the famous North Yorkshire Moors steam railway. Take a train ride from Pickering to Whitby stopping off at Goathland, the fictional village of Aidensfield in the TV programme ’Heartbeat’. The area has some excellent market towns with Helmsley, Malton and Thirsk being just a short drive. The east coast is just under 20 miles away. Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey and Whitby are all easily accessible by car. The magnificent city of York is less than an hour away.
