Wheelhouse is a three-storey terraced house, steeped in history and Grade II listed as a late Georgian style house in one of the oldest streets of Tenby, situated in a prime location right in the heart of the town, a stone's throw from the historic harbour and within very easy walking distance of a plethora of pubs, restaurants and local amenities.. It is also my childhood home, and now available to let for the first time in 2025! You can expect quirky cosiness, blending old and new to create a real home-away-from-home. The property comprises: TOP FLOOR: Master bedroom feat king-sized bed & ample clothes storage / Modern bathrrom feat bidet toilet (w/ heated seat!) & spacious walk-in shower MIDDLE FLOOR: Second bedroom feat double bed, blackout curtains & ample clothes storage / Optional third bedroom or additional 'snug' room feat brand new Swyft Model 04 sofabed (please specify preference when booking if you are a group of 3/4) / Extensive 'landing library' GROUND FLOOR: Living room feat dining table, board games, TV & old skule PS1 / Fully-equipped kitchen feat dishwasher, washing machine, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, large fridge/freezer & authentic Tenby Pottery crockery / Small part-covered private courtyard, leading to bonus traditional outdoor toilet (only for the brave!)! PLUS: Free wi-fi throughout / Well-behaved dogs are welcome / Solar panels / Recycling facilities / Gas central heating / Iron & ironing board / Hairdryer / Beach towels / Local private host readily on hand for any queries PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, as with most locations within the town walls, there is no dedicated parking, however you are usually able to pull up at the end of the lane to unload luggage and then parking is available ~5mins walk away. The town centre is pedestrianised during the hours of 11am-5:30pm in the peak summer months (beginning of July to mid September), so vehicular access is not possible at these times.
I'm Rosie, and this is the house I grew up in! I moved away when I was 18 to study Maths and then pursue a career in Data Analytics, but always returned to visit regularly, my love for Tenby never diminished and I've been back in the area permanently since 2022. I'm now attempting to fulfil my dream to quit the rat-race and share the Tenby experience through hosting this holiday let - opening for business February 2025! Can't wait to meet my first guests! This is the only property I manage so I'm able to dedicate full care and consideration to it and happy to be as attentive (or not) as suits you.
Tenby is one of Wales' top seaside towns, often known as The Jewel in Pembrokeshire's crown. It is known for its castle walls, Victorian architecture, and beautiful coastline. There are a huge choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes in the town centre, multiple beaches and of course the much-photographed scenic harbour. Wheelhouse is located in the same street as The Tudor Merchant's House, which recreates domestic life in 1500, and lies in between the photogenic Sergeants Lane and Quay Hill. It is also very convenient for boat trips, including those going to Caldey Island, and Castle Hill, which features Tenby Museum & Art Gallery, the lifeboat station and the ruins of Tenby Castle.
