Beautiful secluded period cottage, built in 1926, with many original features. Set in an acre of mature woodland and garden, which is home to an abundance of wildlife.
We enjoy country life - watching wildlife and birds that visit. Caring for horses, donkey and chickens that live on site.
The village of Blundeston sits on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and has close connections to the novel David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. The dog-friendly local pub does home cooked food and is within walking distance of the property. The pub is where Barkis started his journey. There are numerous footpaths from the property that can take you to the beach at Corton and Somerleyton Hall & Gardens. The property is close to the Norfolk Broads National Park, with day boat hire and an abundance of wildlife. The award-winning beach at Gorleston-on-sea is a 10-minute drive away. Also the beautiful villages of Southwold and Walberswick, where Minsmere Nature Reserve is situated, is a 45-minute drive as is the beautiful city of Norwich. The UK's most Easterly point, Lowestoft, is a 15-minute drive away.
