Tucked away in the most beautiful part of Wales, Wye Glamping is a true retreat. Here you’ll enjoy stunning Mountain Views an idyllic babbling brook and endless birdsong.
We are a small family run site with only 5 self-contained pitches, 3 locally built yurts and two beautifully crafted cabins which are so well equipped you need only bring your clothes and food.
Inside each glamping unit you’ll find a kingsize bed, and a couple of single beds (day bed or stacking beds), each made up with 100% cotton bed linen. The interiors are cosy, with an abundance of rugs, blankets and cushions, and of course the essential wood burning stove. Add in the bunting, fairy lights, books and games and there really isn’t anything else you need, except maybe a glass of wine!
Outside each pitch you’ll find a private, fully equipped kitchen, complete with pots, pans, utensils, crockery, tea and coffee provisions and even a pint of milk in the fridge! There’s a private compost loo, which is nowhere near as scary as it sounds! And a sheltered deck where you can eat alfresco or lounge in deck chairs toasting marshmallows under the stars.
Each pitch has a private shower and toilet.
We are completely off grid, which means there is no mains electricity on site, providing the perfect opportunity to switch off from the tech and tune into mother nature instead, but this doesn't mean compromising on the necessities, gas fridges will keep your food chilled, there is phone charging via solar and the 4G signal is excellent for most networks.
A traditional country pub on the doorstep completes the offering. With home cooked food served most nights along with a warm welcome.
The ethos of Wye Glamping is simple. To provide everything you need to relax and cosy up with mother nature in comfort and style.
When arriving at Wye Glamping, you can expect a warm welcome from Diane or one of her team. Who understand that you may have had a long journey, and will try to settle you quickly.
Having grown up here, Diane’s knowledge of the area is extensive, she can talk you through a number of walks from the site, places to eat or recommend days outs, suited to your party. Particular favourites include wild swimming at the Warren, climbing Hay Bluff and a mooch around the vintage and bookshops in Hay-on-Wye.
Diane was (and still is) a keen camper having owned a VW for many years, camping with her young family has given her the experience to know what you need to ensure a relaxing break. With this in mind, every little detail has been thought through from providing a cheese grater and tin foil in the kitchen to hand sanitiser in the loo and firelighters for the woodburner.
We are a truly family friendly site, where children make friends and spend hours building dams in the stream and fairy gardens amongst the trees. Running free in a safe environment, they won’t even notice you’ve left the ipad at home! All of this leaves you free to read a book and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Wye Glamping is situated in a peaceful spot, surrounded by Stunning Mountain views and alongside a babbling brook. The local area provides an abundance of activities, that include Canoeing on the river Wye, Pony Trekking in the Black Mountains or Boutique shopping in Hay-on-Wye to name just a few. There is a traditional village pub on the doorstep serving home cooked food as well as two children's play parks. There are Plenty of walks that can be accessed direct from the campsite.
