Located in the heart of the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy between Harlech and Barmouth, Y Berllan is ideally suited for guests who wish to spend time near the sea. The property has a relatively private setting, accessed via a gravel driveway with tall hedges. To the rear of the bungalow, accessed from the kitchen, the garden features a patio area next to the house with a picnic table, a great spot for al fresco dining or drinking the evenings after a busy day out exploring. The remainder of the garden is lawn and flower beds, surrounded by stone walls and fencing.
There is a well stocked mini-supermarket a 3 minute walk away from the property.
A 5 minute walk from the property is the railway station, with trains travelling along the famous Cambrian coast route.
At less than two miles away, the beautiful Benar Beach is accessed via a boardwalk across some fabulous sand dunes. It's a wonderful beach with epic views of the Welsh coastline and across to the Llyn Peninsula. Whether it's a wintery coastal walk, or a dip in the clear water on a summer day, it's a spot that shouldn't be missed. Further north the beaches of Morfa Dyffryn and Harlech, also flanked by stunning sand dunes, can be explored easily. The town of Harlech, featuring it's dominating 13th century castle is a must visit. Narrow streets packed full of boutique shops and cute cafes lead to the medieval fortress of Harlech Castle, which provides stunning views over the coast and Parc Genedlaethol Eryri. For visitors with some energy to spend, take a walk up Ffordd Pen Lech in the village - one of the world's steepest streets.
Heading south from the beautifully renovated two bedroom bungalow near the beach, the seaside town of Barmouth is approximately ten minutes by car. A typically Welsh seaside resort, Barmouth sits under the backdrop of the mountains of Southern Eryri, and the streets are packed with pubs, restaurants, cafes and gift shops. The large expanse of sandy beach is popular with...
