Hello & Welcome! You are probably reading this because your have just discovered Geufron Farm & are curious about who we are before you decide to book a stay. (Very smart by the way!)
I’m over the moon that you are here & always delighted to share what its like owning, running & staying at Geufron Farm in beautiful south of the Snowdonia National Park.
And by me, I really mean us – Dean (my husband) & I, plus our two adventure pups, Bracken & Dottie!
So, let me explain how Geufron Farm came to be…
After well over 2 decades working in online financial services, the buzz of corporate life had finally worn thin for Dean and I. We knew we needed a new challenge.
The idea for a place for those who love adventure & the outdoors to recharge from the stresses of everyday life was born on a day spent in the mountains.
The search was on to find the perfect spot!
In 2018 after much searching across Europe we stumbled upon Geufron Farm, in the south of the Snowdonia National Park. Despite its sorry state at the time, instantly it just felt right.
We always knew we had A LOT of work to do to breathe new life into The Old Farmhouse & Barns.
Little did we know driving towards Bryncrug on a dark evening in 2020 as the new owners that just a few weeks later the whole of the UK would go into lockdown & our dream of opening our 5 beautiful farm properties to guests would be halted.
What a time to buy a hospitality business!
We could have crumbled but instead, we upped the budget and ripped out & renovated even more than we had first planned.
Think Escape to the Chateau ... but on a farm, in Wales.
Our friends must have thought we were off our rocker, but we knew that this special place deserved a really special overhaul.
We finally opened to guests in July 2020. When we read reviews & hear what an amazing, & much needed, holiday they have had, we know it was absolutely the right thing!

Y Caban (The Cabin in Welsh) at Geufron Farm is a charming converted caravan cabin, full of warmth and comfort. A quirky and cosy space, it’s ideal for a couple or a small family looking for a peaceful break with their dog.
SLEEPS
- Up to 4 guests: 1 double bedroom, 1 twin with child-size beds (2ft x 5ft. Not full size single beds)
KITCHEN
- Compact galley kitchen with gas hob, oven & grill
- Microwave, toaster, kettle, teapot & cafetière
- Under-counter fridge with small icebox
- Plates, cutlery, utensils, pans, baking trays and glasses provided
LIVING & DINING
- Large built-in corner sofa
- Log-effect fire, Smart TV & Alexa
- Dining table with seating for 4
BATHROOM:
- Shower cubicle, WC, sink & towel rail
- Shower gel and hand wash provided
OUTSIDE:
- Secure fenced terrace & garden with valley and sea views
- Outdoor table and chairs for 4, terrace seating, fixed BBQ stand
- Accessed via grassy path up to fenced garden
BEDROOMS
- Double bedroom with storage, bedside lamps & USB charging points
- Twin bedroom with 2 child-size beds (2ft by 5ft - not full size singles), small wardrobe & bedside lighting
DOG FRIENDLY
Up to 2 house-trained dogs welcome (25 pound per dog per stay, payable to owner after booking)
Enclosed dog play field just a short stroll away
Doggy code applies (including no dogs on beds)
Dog-friendly beaches, hillside trails and local pub nearby
PRACTICALITIES
- Free on-site parking for 1 car (extra by request)
- Shared pay-as-you-go EV charger available in main farmyard
- WiFi provided
A 100 pound refundable good housekeeping deposit applies. This is refunded upon inspection of the property after departure.

WHAT’S THE AREA LIKE?
Geufron Farm is perfectly placed for getting outdoors with your dog. From the moment you step outside, you’ve got waymarked trails, fields, and valleys to explore — no car required.
WHERE’S THE NEAREST PUB?
The dog-friendly Peniarth Arms is just a 15-minute stroll across the fields. Great food, a proper pint, and a warm welcome for muddy boots and waggy tails.
WHAT ABOUT THE COAST?
You’re spoilt for choice. Tywyn (10 mins) and Aberdyfi (15 mins) are both within easy reach for beach days, boat trips, and fish & chips by the sea.
ARE THERE GOOD WALKS NEARBY?
Plenty! Woodland wanders at Dolgoch Falls, waterfall trails at Nant Gwernol, or endless miles of coastal path. All on the doorstep of Snowdonia’s coast-meets-mountain landscape.
ANYTHING FOR ADVENTURE-SEEKERS?
Absolutely — Dyfi Bike Park’s world-class mountain biking trails are just up the road. Or, if you prefer to slow down, explore pretty villages, coastal paths, or simply sit back with a glass of something good and take in the view.
WHO’S IT BEST FOR?
Couples, families, solo travellers — and especially dog owners. If your idea of a break is swapping screens for skies, and pavements for pawprints, you’ll feel right at home here.
