I am Daphne, the hostess of this small family hotel in the off-the-beaten-track destination of Corinthia, on the northern coast of the Peloponnese. As well as being a hotelier, I am also a freelance creator of online και offline travel content. I have studied Translation and European Politics, speak 7 languages and have lived in 7 different countries. I am also very involved in a number of collaborative and community projects on tourism, culture and ecology. I love my morning swims, sailing, winter skiing and always end my day with a good book.

Daphne’s Club Hotel Apartments opened in 1996 as a family owned small hotel apartment complex. It is run by Daphne along with the hotel’s able personnel, Dimitris, Dina and Vasilis. We love our work and strive to provide a memorable travel experience to all our guests, along three key themes: Comfortable accommodation, Genuine hospitality and Eco-awareness. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing OUR Greece with you!

Neighbourhood information

It is no coincidence that Sykia was the chosen holiday haven of world famous poets such as Aggelos Sikelianos and Kostas Kariotakis and that it is also called “the anchorage of poets” («το αραξοβόλι των ποιητών»). Nature has been kind to the small sleepy village, adorning it with a beautiful half-moon-shaped pebble beach; a pine forest which reaches down to the sea front; unspoiled views of Central Greece on the opposite side of the Gulf of Corinth; and unique mountain formations in its hinterland. Taking the path opposite the hotel you enter Sykia.Today Sykia is a small and picturesque village, with a few seafront tavernas, a church, a children’s playground, the remains of an Ottoman tower and the early 20th century villa of the famous poet Aggelos Sikelianos.
